Designers CAN the most of the time they “Don’t” have.

I just finished reading an article over at HOW, “Too Busy to Network? Here’s how to make it easy.

Graphic Designers, either freelance, moonlight, or employed, are a finicky bunch. We all like to dream, and at times can be lost in the zone of either “the deadline” or the “inpiration”. And then at times be cast adrift in that place…
…that has us scratching our heads wondering why the phone is not ringing.

A few of the tips were great reminders of some of the more simpler ways to maximize time at hand. Reference to mumbling to your dentist was classic.

I’m reminded of something a salesman once told me about making contacts. His trick was to get as many “no thanks” as he could.

He knew that rejection is simply part of the game, and that no matter how small the rate of conversion, the more rejections you get, the closer you are to the next “Yes”.

So, take a read there. Even if you just skim, you’ll undoubtedly find something of value, even if it’s a simple insight.
