Which could be a good thing. Thinking more about it, I get enough feeds that a Growl every time one came in would be a bit much, Better to check for updates during breaks. Yes, it can be distracting, and truth be know, a bit overkill. Reader Notifier has menubar placement, so a simple quick glance at the menubar and i know how many updates there have been.
